Attempting to make 3D camera free look

I’m making a 3D game where the camera is supposed to rotate on its own axis to follow the cursor, but it’s not working right. I tried using the “Camera angle” action for free look, but the movement feels super stiff. When I test the game, the camera barely turns and immediately snaps back to where it started instead of fluidly tracking the mouse. How can I get the camera to rotate freely on its own axis without getting stuck or snapping back?

Camera

By having the camera set to look at Player every frame, if you move the camera by moving your mouse then it will immediately go back to staring at Player every single frame. If you have it not look at player, then it will rotate but will not follow. This is a very hard situation…

I’ve tried adding the condition “Mouse is not locked” to the first event, and even tried disabling it I keep running into the same issue.

hey, you should use an object for the free cam

I tried that, and it worked for a while, but there were a few small drawbacks. I actually ended up figuring out what was causing the issue, I had raycast in some other events that were making the camera snap back.
