Better Input menager ( Inspired by Godot )

Godot-like Input Map Manager with being able to change them in events

An Input manager in project preferences like this:


It would come with an action that would be able to change the mappings, basically eliminating the need to use an or statement for every condition.

GDevelop would need to implement controller support but there is already an extension for that so I don’t think it would be hard. I think it would be a great addition to the engine especially because its a program for beginners. But the normal “Was key pressed” and “Was mouse button pressed” should not be deleted because making an Input Mapping just for one key or mouse press would be wasteful. Tell me what do you think about this!

Not exactly what you asked for, but did you know there’s a remapper extension for behavior controls?

Yes i know but its only for behaviors and doesn’t support controllers. I know i could code it in myself in the extension editor but I was kinda leaning towards making it more beginner friendly.
I don’t wanna brag or anything but I’ve made my own version of this :eyes:
