Chapter 1 Part 2 Patch Notes

​In the 26.01 update, Xp Blobs, Tunnelorms, and Leader Creatures have been added! Xp Blobs are little creatures that are an easy way to farm Xp. Tunnelorms are creatures that will give you Xp the first time you meet them. Every 1 in 50 animals will be a leader creature. Leader Creatures have 10x their usual health. Be careful, for there is no indicator for Leader Creatures. In addition, 5 NPC lines and 4 NPC names have been added.

Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game - January 2026

​Hello gamers and game developers, I am 99 Studios, and I am here with very important things to announce in the ninth (and far from last) Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game post ! In case you’re new to Twardy 2.0 or you forgot about it, Twardy 2.0 is a sandbox-survival game where you can farm crops, attack enemies, and earn Xp. Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game is where I present what happened during the month and what is going to happen next month in Twardy 2.0. This State Of The Game post will be special, for it will overview of what will happen for the entire (or at least 1st half) of the year.​

One of the first things I want to announce is that the first Twardy 2.0 Direct is being rescheduled. It was originally scheduled for January 11 (this year), but I felt that there was too little in the game for me to make a whole video on it. Instead of canceling it, I am rescheduling it for the month before Chapter 2 (v27.00) releases, which will likely be within the next few years. Until then, stay tuned for more news on the Twardy 2.0 Chapter 2 Direct.

Now that Chapter 1 Part 2 (v26.01) has released, I have already started plans for Chapter 1 Part 3 (and beyond, more on that later). In Chapter 1 Part 3, a new currency will be added to the game: Coppens! Coppens are bronze-colored coins that can be used to buy items from Adam’s Shop. Who is Adam? He is one of the main characters of The Foods​, an animated series by WorldStudios Animations​ (Learn more about him at the Twardy 2.0 Wiki​!). In Adam’s Shop, you can convert some of your XP into Coppens, specifically 100 XP per Coppen. The items from Adam’s Shop will grow overtime, but they’re currently TBD.

Another new feature coming in version 26.02 is the torch! The torch is an item that can deflect nighttime enemies. Stay on watch, for not all enemies are deflected by the torch. The torch will be available in Adam’s Shop.

2026 will be a packed year for Twardy 2.0. As of today, there are 5 confirmed updates (v26.02-v26.06) for Twardy 2.0. More news about those (and future) updates will be released overtime.

I will be re-releasing Twardy 2.0 onto gd.games when Chapter 2 (v27.00) releases! Until then, stay tuned for more Twardy 2.0 news!

Note: Though Twardy 2.0 is re-releasing on gd.games, it will still remain on Itch. It may be removed from gd.games in the future if the game ever becomes paid.

Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game - February 2026

​Hello gamers and game developers, I am 99 Studios, and I am here with very important things to announce in the tenth (and far from last) Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game post ! In case you’re new to Twardy 2.0 or you forgot about it, Twardy 2.0 is a sandbox-survival game where you can farm crops, attack enemies, and earn Xp. Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game is where I present what happened during the month and what is going to happen next month in Twardy 2.0. ​This State Of The Game post will contain very important news about the future of the game!

The biggest thing I want to announce is that Chapter 1 Part 3 (v26.02) is becoming Chapter 2 (v27.00)! This is mainly because the size of the update has become so large, I practically have to change it from a minor to a major update. In Chapter 2, the game will start to leave the sandbox genre and start to become a soul-like survival game. The soul-like genre fits the game’s (upcoming) lore better than the sandbox genre.​ More information about Chapter 2 will be announced mainly on the upcoming Twardy 2.0 Chapter 2 Direct, but some news may also be announced early on the Twardy 2.0 Devlog.

While Chapter 2 is being developed, most of the code for the game is being rewritten! While this mostly only affects the game internally, it should only bring benefits for players: the game should r un smoother and feel more intriguing.

​Over the past month, I have hosted 2 art contests on Itch. The top 3 winners of each contest will have their usernames in the credits of the game ​and some of their assets added to the game! While most of the winners will see some of their content in the next update, some assets will be saved for future updates for lore purposes…

Towards the end of this month, I have changed the logo of 99 Studios! This logo is more sleek and modern compared to the previous one. Instead of the words “99 Studios”, the logo is two 9s rotated to be connecting with each other.

I’ve noticed you mainly use chrome music lab to make your music. I think now would be a good time to switch to a different software, as chrome music lab is very basic.

If you want to know the software I use, it’s called LMMS. It’s a pretty decent DAW, and it also has support for soundfonts, which I think you’ll find useful.

The website is lmms.io, hopefully you find this useful.
