Hello! I’ve searched through multiple forums to fix this problem but haven’t found a consistent answer.
Once I export my game, the desktop icon becomes the default Gdevelop icon.
I have manually changed my custom icon before, and have used the generate logo button, but neither have worked.
It worked for the apk build, but not for desktop.
Is there something I’m missing? Are there any solutions for this problem?
Any help would be appreciated, and if possible, screenshots of the solution would be amazing!
Dragging the exported game into a different folder didn’t change the icon.
I tried with just the .exe and tried with all the game files into a different folder as well.
(I just tried to change my icon photo from a PNG to a ICO file, so maybe that’ll work? I’ll see tomorrow when I export it since I have the free subscription, meaning I have to wait 24 hours.)
I only had once issue with ico being default one
And it was cause i first exported my game to some folder WITHOUT icons
Then removed everything form it and exported it again with generating icons from png
And windows have this bs where it will try to remember icons of files in any folder instead of updating them
And fix for that was to move game to another folder
