Do you watch Tutorials?

Im planning to make some youtube tutorials on some genres on making the basic core mechanics of them, (EX: Tower defense, Turn Based Tactics, and some others i may want to try} Maybe make a template with more content included in said tutorial a paywall or not i dont kow, would you watch it? Or do you have ideas on what games genre you’ll like to see? (Im not good at 3d or multiplayer stuff}

i mean…to answer your question, no, i dont watch tutorials. ive probably only ever watched 10 tutorials in my entire life. i learned gimp, blender, gdevelop, literally everything without a tutorial. usually, i either read, or learn on my own.

I remember watching a lot of tutorials on GD, but they were mostly just walkthroughs. They didn’t teach you how GD works. They just showed how to create a certain project. Examples are helpful but they also need to explain how and why things work. I needed to create a lot of test projects before I understood the whole picking process.

100% would watch! 2D turn-based tactics and tower defense mechanics are always in high demand. A free basic template + a paid complete project file on Patreon seems like the sweet spot. Excited to see what you make!"

Not anymore, but I really should.

For stuff I don’t know how to do, of course!

Do I watch tutorials?

Yes I actually learned a whole lot before I used the forum.
For almost everything (online I used like game creation and other stuff) I kind of rely on the wiki or website, and of course videos.

I should sometimes try to figure out stuff on my own like desmon but I always get lost lol.

I watch some tutorial videos, but very rarely.

I’m too lazy to watch it. :sweat_smile:
