I have spent around a week working on and promoting a fan game I have been making — a Twisted Metal fan game. It’s really unfortunate that the day I planned to drop the full game on gd.games, it started failing.
Before anyone says it: the game is under 250 MB. I have it posted on itch. io and it works perfectly fine there and on other platforms. The issue is only happening on the place where I already paid for promotion.
The money is not the main issue, but I am worried because I only have 7 days left for the promotion. I even recently upgraded my membership. I have been asking for help in Discord for around 4 hours and have not received a response. The frustrating part is that staff were aware I had issues before, but it feels like my problem has been ignored.
If someone could help fix this, that would be amazing. If it cannot be fixed, would it be possible to get a refund for the tokens spent on promotion?
Right now I am only at around 200 plays, which is less than 25% of the promised plays. It could also be argued that many of those plays are coming from people finding the game through my own videos.
The exact error I am getting is:
“Error: Unable to read stream or parse zip: unexpected end of file”
I have cleaned up my files and made sure everything is under 250 MB. I would really appreciate any help. also if its possible could an admin post the html file that is clearly working for me on gd games? if there was alt way to posts game besides through engine i would
