Hello, I’ve noticed that with the latest GDevelop update (version 5.6.258), I can’t open or edit my game. I have to use an older version (254) for it to work. Is this OSX change necessary? I think it’s essential that people with older computers can use GDevelop (unless the new software technology requires it). Are there any plans to roll back support for earlier OSX versions? Thank you.
I believe one of the recent releases upgraded to Electron version 30, needed for multiple performance and technical features.
I did some digging and the current version of Electron requires MacOS Monterrey (12) or newer. (And actually has since Electron 24, it seems, but GD5 hadn’t had its electron base upgraded in years)
Unfortunately the GDevelop team doesn’t have any control over those requirements other than outright going to an older version of electron and losing the advancements they upgraded for. With that in mind I wouldn’t expect to see that rollback or change.
