I think it has something to do with variables. but I’m new to this and don’t understand what I could do to you know. not get the error
Looks like you forgot to fill a field somewhere.
Go over your events sheet and make sure there are no incomplete conditions or actions.
Usually (but perhaps not always), it shows up in red, like this:
I’ve checked everything. I looked and found nothing I might perceive as incomplete. Nothing is red, and every field that’s empty (I think) is for default values. Like if you had a camera, it would default to the base layer, so I just left that empty.

I don’t see any errors either.
Perhaps look into the object’s properties: the animations, the points, the behaviors and/or extensions.
Look for an empty required field, or also if you used “quotes” where you shouldn’t.
Also check the menus for the scene and global variables, and check the layer and group names.
Moreover, since you’re using the platformer behavior, make sure that all involved objects have the right behaviors set up.
I don’t think it should be an issue, but perhaps you should declare your variables stars and money. Here:
I already declared stars and money. I checked everything. We’re talking behaviors, (including the platformer one) scene variables, and I was so desperate I got a friend to help me try and find things. We were looking at this hours. I tried using OneDrive to restore my project back to the way it was before, but OneDrive doesn’t keep versions of folders, only files
I don’t know what to do now. Is there a way to import an already exported game? Because I have an actual working version exported that’s pretty recent. I’m devoid of all hope. And energy. I should probably go to sleep.
ignore that other post it was wrong
OH MY GOD FINALLY. I restarted Gdevelop and now the preview loads as expected. Oh my god you cannot replicate the feeling of joy that swam through my system when that preview loaded. Thank you SO MUCH for your help.
Great Remember to backup frequently now.
Do you know the culprit?
Don’t know. I just restarted it and boom. Working again
