is anyone else getting this sort of thing…
just started occasionally having a glitch rectangle appear on events (also once on the object editor) that goes away if you scroll up or down
That looks a lot like a graphics card or processor driver issue.
I was hoping it was everyone…might be just me then …it’s only happening in gdevelop at the moment
I’ve never had that before.
I’ve always had loads of crashes with this computer…so it’s highly likely that the problem extends no further than this room!
it could be a glitch by overheat..monitor your gpu temp…in case u may need to replace the thermal paste

I would advise you to update all your drivers.
I decided to ignore it and hope that it goes away. This approach has worked well for me in the past …legal issues, financial issues, court summons, subsidence, children etc
seems to have done the trick this time too! as it seems to have stopped. I wondered whether i might have had too many scenes and layouts open …just had a strange blinking editor thing…cured simply by closing a few of the 20 or so tabs that i had open.
@RMDB …it does need a bit of a clean inside the tower …again its something that …i’m sort of sat here waiting for it to happen! @Amigo54 …sound advice! …ill do that too at some point!
do use a desktop? if so, do you use a dedicated gpu?
Hi @DesmonDev …yes …I’ve got a gtx 1660
power down your computer, turn off the power supply, unplug it, and hold down the power button for a minute to discharge it. Then, take the side off and try reseating the graphics card in its slot, and/or cleaning any possible debris, loose cables, or other issues.
it also could be driver issues, because it wasnt a fault of my igpu that blender was making my whole installation of windows look like it was on acid 3 years ago

My Owen Hp had lower sound when i bought it in 2020.
2 years ago, i updated all my drivers. I can say to you the sound is better than before.
So I need to wait 4 years …then do something about it!
To give you an incite into the state of my tech. I thought I’d had a system update on my phone just now as some of the icons had changed. Then I realised I could scratch these changes off with my thumb nail…possibly rhubarb yoghurt
No, of course! But like you, i wouldn’t have think that drivers update could bring to me a real best sound.
It’s why i did the update only after 4 years.
However, i don’t remember what i used as tool to update all my drivers in one throw.
If this is supposed to be a joke, some people do not find that (highlighted in bold) funny.
It really is meant to be a joke. My interpretation of it is Petlimpet making a joke about ignoring his own kids when they keep asking for more of something/something unreasonable. Nothing to do with child neglect which may have been the direction your mind went in.

I am not that familiar with regulars of this forum yet so was not sure which way he meant, that is why I was careful how I worded it to simply point out that could be viewed either way and is a strongly sensitive topic for some people best not even joked about in a publicly visible forum.
