I have neglected my wife, kids, work and personal hygiene to bring you…
The faintest whiff of praise will have made this all worthwhile!
feedback please - bugs, irritations, ui headaches - all that stuff

Wow, nice! Hard, but nice!!! I’ll play better latter!!! (Now I was supposed to be working )
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
Yeh that’s about right lol. Bear with me, I am neglecting all that and the Forum right now, hard at work on my new project. I should have time this coming Monday to give everyone’s games a test go.
Played the game, really nice graphics, satisfying sound effects, and minimap! Like the concept of the rabbit and foxes, very well done! Don’t neglect your wife and kids for a making a game though!
P.S. The menu page is a little slow.
Thanks for that - I’ll look at the menu page - slow to load or needs to be more dynamic? - I’ll get rid of the fades and liven it up a bit!. I’m honestly a responsible adult and a dutiful husband and father - my personal hygiene is possibly where I fall short!
Hi @Davedorkmouse!
Game original and well made.
It’s true the scenes are a little too long to load but that is though acceptable.

Bravo! Sooo awesome. Everything seemed to load ok for me. Great accessibility options, sounds, graphics, game play, enemies, minmap, WEREHAIR TIME. So much fun, very entertaining, and everything was so well coordinated. You deserve more than a faint whiff of praise.
Hello!
I am going to repeat me: this game is genial!
Xierra
I tried the game, it is very good, but I dont like the UI, it is messy and doesnt show what is a button and what is not.
The level editor is good but again the UI is very confusing, couldn’t collapse menus.
But the sound is very good, you nailed it.
The art is good, I have nothing to say about it.
Gameplay is awesome!
many thanks for your feedback - i’ll look at the ui elements again. i know the editor’s not quite right yet…needs a bit more work
Congrats on building the level editor. It is very similar to what I am doing with my game, having a public community editor for levels. A question: how did you program a section for your personal Saved levels and one for public levels? Did you use a structure within a structure and save to firebase? Thanks!
Here’s my level editor. Quite similar to what you are doing.
Play Kinesis on gd.games
Hi @Crowbar_Coder - sorry for a slow response I’ve been away on my hols. Yeah - I just fancied the idea of doing user levels. I think the hardest bit was undo and redo and it still doesn’t work 100 percent yet. each player has 10 slots for user levels which save a structure inside an array to storage as json files. When you publish, at the moment you can only upload one of them, it’s saved to firebase as a json into a separate collection within doc UID. I’ll check yours out soon!
all the best
dave
so the json is saved to firebase as a text file - all the levels in the game are read from json files and when i create a new level i send it to firebase and copy the text to the array where all the levels are stored
Nice! That’s kind of like what I did with my game, for the level editor that I made, I saved the x and y coordinates of every object in the level under a structure variable with the makers name, Saved that structure to firebase then recalled it on loading the game!
Good job on accomplishing it, it’s very tricky!

Now available on itch - I’ve sorted out a few niggles with the level edittor and tidied up a few things
I still haven’t sorted out ordering the leaderboard within firebase and so it’s still being downloaded and done locally. I did have a cunning plan before going on holiday, but I’ve come back from holiday and forgotten what it was!
Tis I ‘Dave Dorkmouse’ - I’ve just set up a new thingy as ‘petlimpet’ in a desperate attempt to be perceived as coherent and ‘on it!’
obvs i’ll lose all my shiny approval ratings and my woeful comment like percentages but …onwards and upwards!!!
I shall now be dishing out half baked dodgy advice as…
PET LIMPET!!!
Please could someone do me a favour and create and publish a user level - just to test if it works. All the published user levels are currently my doing and i’m wondering if i’ve sliced it into the woods over near the carpark!
I’m in the process of redoing the way the firebase leaderboard works - so I know that’s a bit iffy but the user levels - i thought that bit worked!
Same as mine: no one is making levels on Kinesis, just myself. And one of my friends.
I don’t understand: tried your level editor, I created a level, named and saved it, clicked publish, and all the other public levels disappeared. I still have my level under the private levels. Do you know why and how to fix that? My level doesn’t get published.
Also can you try my level editor on Kinesis to see if your levels get published? You have to name it and save it. No one has tried mine yet.
