Complete newbie here, trying to learn through the online tutorials.
The tutorials guide well enough, but there are problems due to the tutorials being designed for an earlier version, which was organised differently.
Nonetheless I can follow them until I get to the last point in “No. 2 Build a scene with objects” which casually instructs me to “Place the Collision object into the game scene…” but provides absolutely zero instructions on how to do this. Help please!
I think it means to map out like walls or floors so that the “Player” lands or hits those things or colides with those things. IDK if this helps or not.
The template has an object on the ‘points and collisions’ tab, and this instruction tells me that I should place it into the game scene. There must be a simple way of doing this, its such a basic thing.
Thanks for your help with this. I should have been more specific. Its GDevelop Essentials Course, 2. Build a scene with objects, 2nd Chapter, ‘Adjust collision checks with collision marks’ (the very last check box instruction).
There is a drop down with an answer, but I can’t even reach the point that it would be useful because I cannot carry out the "Place the Collision object into the game scene’ instruction… so it must be very basic.
