How to disable autoupdate for all users

Hi,
We are currently installing GDevelop 5 on multiple machines and need to disable auto-update for all users. Is there a way to disable auto-update globally?

In the GUI preferences, there is an option to disable auto-updates, but we’re unsure where that setting is stored. I’ve already checked the following locations without finding any relevant information:
%AppData%,HKCU,HKLM

If there is no global option to disable auto-updates, then knowing where the local user’s settings are stored would also be very helpful.

You are checking registry where you should check folder

C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME HERE\AppData\Roaming\GDevelop 5

IDK which file it is but i am sure its one of them
Cause i just duplicate this folder and past it after i reinstall windows to preserve my settings

Thank you for reply, But I have checked that folder as well, I did not find any relatable settings there.

Hi!

I preconize to do these actions, in your case of course:

  1. install GDevelop sur one first computer
  2. run GDevelop then configure a non automatic save in GDevelop
  3. make a save of the directory as said by XeroX4 (on USB by example)
  4. make the OS installation on the others machines (Windows or Linus, etc.)
  5. install GDevelop on every machine
  6. With USB save, copy on every machine, only the directory “…\GDevelop 5” in the right repertory as indicated by XeroX4
  7. TEST if Ok

Don’t forget to say to us if all is right.

So copy that folder to desktop
Now launch your gdevelop and make some changes like idk
Change hotkeys or editor layout
Close gdevelop and open it again to see your changes are saved
Now close gdevelop and copy gdevelop folder from desktop back to app data
And you will see gdevelop will revert to whatever state it was in before you made that copy

So its there i just don’t know which file exactly so i just copy whole Gdevelop 5 folder
