Hello everyone, I am not a game developer, but I want to translate a game made on the GDevelop engine into my native language. I believe that all the main files for this are in the en-US.pak file. But this archive does not open with 7zip or WinRar or any other archivers that I have tried. When opening it in NotePad, the first line contains the following codes - ENQ NULL. I did not find a way to open a file with this extension in the engine editor. Please help!
*I apologize if I ask a question in the wrong format or category. Thanks in advance!
No, those aren’t game locales. All the files you’ll see in the installation folder are not part of the game but of Electron. The game files are exclusively under resources/app.asar
in the installation folder. You can open an asar file with 7-zip using this extension: Asar7z.
Be aware - there is no central list of texts for you to translate, you will have to manually search for strings in the game code files code<number>.js
and data.js
, and change them where you find them.
