How would I swap the project file of a game with another project file without deleting either of them?

Hello, I’ve been working on my first game on and off for a little over a year now, and since I started working on it my programming has gotten a lot better. At the moment, the game is unorganised, unoptimized, and a pain to work on.

I want to restart the game but keep what I have now as a separate game on gd.games, and have the new project file be in the game on gd.games that is up now. I know that’s a bit confusing so here’s an image trying to show what I mean:

Hopefully this image conveys what I’m meaning to say.

Any help is appreciated!

If i remember correctly you rename the game name in Gdevelop. Those fabulous random names like “Vengeful Shoe” etc.

im a bit confused as to what you mean, wouldnt that just rename the game on gd.games?

after a bit of experimenting i figured it out, i duplicated the project folder, went into the json file, and deleted the UUID (thanks @ZeroX4 for indirectly helping since i made a post about moving locally stored games, and this was their answer)

(im unable to edit the title for some reason still, but this has been solved)

It will give you two different links to the same game after duplicated. Maybe i misunderstood what you wanted to do. :innocent:
