I recently found out about a system used for key combinations in fighting games, so I decided to give it a few of my own improvements
Original thread and extension here:
So far, I’ve managed to make a few changes, here’s a list of all of them:
Changed directional inputs from 4 to 8
Updated Hadoken (Now a projectile)
Updated Shoryuken (Works closer to original move)
Added Super Hadoken
Added Hurricane kick
Made it that the player now faces the direction of an opponent
Added opponent/dummy
Added damage counter to dummy
Changed how attack system works slightly
Added more inputs (from 1 button to attack to multiple buttons for low punch, low kick, middle punch), etc.
Effect of key used also effect the power of moves
Credit to @oscuridad666 for the original system, including timing for each input and direction detection
Here’s the link:
Controls:
A for Low Punch
S for Middle Punch
D for Hard Punch
Z for Low Kick
X for Middle Kick
C for High Kick
Down, down/forward, forward and any punch for hadoken
Down, down/forward, forward, Down, down/forward, forward and any punch for Super hadoken
Forward, down/forward, down, down/forward, forward and any punch for Shoryuken
Down, down/back, back and any kick for hurricane kick
Depending on which punch/kick button you use, the move will slightly change
Also, if anyone wants, I can release the project files for people to use
