Mega Boost - GDevelop Marketing Campaign

Yesterday I bought for my game on gd.games the Marketing Campaign Mega Boost to featue my title (with 35% off, now it is 60%, well… bad luck I guess but nevermind :upside_down_face: ).

It is mentioned on the GDevelop-wiki that ads will be placed on certain social media channels:

GDevelop Marketing Campaigns - GDevelop documentation

When will the ads on social media channels start (or posted?) and on which social media channels exactly?
At the moment I am just aware of that my game is promoted on gd.games.

For now, we mainly promote your game on gd.games through ads on TikTok - we’ve found this to be the most promising channel for funneling players into games.

For other social media channels, it all depends on quality. I don’t know which game you’ve been promoting, but whatever the game, we can’t use your branded channels (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) to promote low-quality games that are essentially two modifications of a game template.

We’ve updated the documentation to mention some basic standards and our right to promote games based on their quality.

I purchased the Mega Boost for this game:

(I would be surprised if it would not meet your basic quality standard.)

How does this ad look like or/and how can I find it?

As the documentation said:

The advertising are not using the visuals from games, they are generic, it show gd.games, and people who click on the ads are directed to one of the promoted games.

There are “visible” ads (posts) on your GDevelop social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) featuring another individual games.
For example: The latest post about another game (which can be perceived as an ad) on GDevelop’s Facebook page is at the moment 4 hours old).

I purchased the service “Mega Boost” as this was stated:
“Be featured in ads run by GDevelop on platforms like TikTok and other social media channels.”)
I was in the assumption to “Mega Boost” my game individually.

The documentation’s sentence “These ads are usually generic gaming ads that promote games in general.” can be interpreted in many ways, especially overall in combination how the text on the documentation continues with and how GDevelop’s social media pages promotes various games in general.

Sorry for the confusion—my explanation was about the TikTok advertisements we run, which lead directly to your game on gd.games.

Regarding posts on GDevelop’s social media channels, I don’t consider those as advertisements, since they are regular posts and no advertising network is involved.

For these posts, we mostly use the information provided on the game’s page:
The title, the link, the description, and the thumbnail. We also play the game for a few minutes to get a better feel for it, so we can create a post that best fits the game.

(Those posts can be viewed as advertisements because they try to draw attention to audience or want to lead the viewer to store pages.)

Nonetheless I hope you will consider my game to be featured on your social media pages.

It is cute, cozy and beginner gamer friendly. A special background story why it even was developed. Characters created by me, two choosable soundtrack variants composed by me: It is not an asset flip. More info about this game can be found in the description, etc…).

Anyways thank you for your clarifying answers about the Mega Boost.

Edit: Well at least my game got mentioned in a GDevelop's video without an active Mega Boost a few months before:
