This is a “friendly bump” about a discussion that i had a frew months ago in the gDEvelop Discord channel. But now, as the Google Play Store has set up its quality management policy of “12 closed beta testers”, i think that this is more than ever important to discuss for indy developers!
Shouldn’t be there an “Apps made with gDevelop” section for this forum and also in the www.gd.games website?
I am asking this as i am totally moving away from the Play store. I have just updated my last three educational game-apps and published them on my website at www.goldstein.es so that you can download the APK and download them directly to your smartphone.
What do you think? And whats apps are there that have been created with gDevelop?
I think you have right.
All the benefits will be for Gdevelop’s game engine if somebody makes what you say.
Concerning me, with Gdevelop, i made Paper Plane (personal project) and presently in progress, i develop Rick Dangerous 1 (remake of 1989’s game made originally on Amiga and Atari ST by exemple)
Later, after Rick Dangerous, i envisage to do the remake of arcade game Green Beret of Konami.
Xierra… i played Green Beret on my first computer, the Commodore 116
It was on a Datasette. Loading the game took about two minutes.
Wish you the best with your games!
I have plenty of ideas of more “app-like” games or apps-only that i want to develop with gDevelop, so i am unsure if it is ok to upload them to GD.games or any other platform, as they not realy fit into the gaming segment.
