So after months in development, I have made my second game. I went for a simpler concept but tried to implement a story I have had in my story drawer for a while. I want to evolve this story, but I really like this story I’ve developed, so it will probably be a while until I create the next game to continue this story. This brings me to my next point of what I’ve learned making my second game.
What I’ve gained
Engine Knowledge: I have become a lot more comfortable in the engine throughout making this second game. I looked back at my first game and thought back to how hard it was to solve issues that seem so simple to me now. It helped finish the core of my second game quicker.
I do still make some silly mistakes sometimes (I was really tired then…)
Planning Game: I tried drawing out my game before actually putting in development which made everything a lot smoother than my first game. It just makes sense honestly.
What I need to work on
Art: I love drawing, but honestly, making pixel art is so hard, and my regular art is abstract, so I really need to work on it. I love my designs for the characters I make, but I feel I could do so much better for them, so I will try my best to really learn how to draw and get my own art style to make my games look better.
More: A lot more that I haven’t realized that would be helpful to hear from someone reviewing!
Thank you for reading and looking at this post. It would mean a lot if you played and reviewed my game. Have a good day!

Is that screen shot one of the earlier mistakes you made and have learnt from?

Yes I realized I can have the action repeat instead of copying and paste it
