Overlapping translucent sprites without increasing the alpha value

Is there a way to prevent overlapping sprites that are not totally solid from adding their alpha value to each other? just like the picture:

I’m not sure what’s possible, but I do have a potential workaround for you.

Put all of the sprites that you want to overlap without blending into a separate layer at full opacity, this will achieve the overlap effect you are looking for. Then add the translucent effect to that layer instead of the individual sprites, this will obtain the shared alpha blending look I think you are after.

You might try the different “change blend mode” event action modes. I think one of them may match what you want.
