P2P connection randomly stopped working?

I know that the default broker is not operated by Gdevelop but im hoping that someone may have had a similar issue before. Basically I have it set up in my project so the Host gets a server ID, and the Joiner pastes that ID into a box and uses the Connect to P2P client. This worked great for about a week, but recently the connection became very slow and sometimes its at the point where it doesn’t work anymore. I haven’t changed any of the code or nothing so idk why its doing this. Even now sometimes it works fine but gets slower and slower, so could it have something to do with the 250 player limit? I thought that was only 250 connections at a time, but maybe im wrong. Help or advice would be appreciated thank you.
