I have been working on this one for a while. Since I’ve put so much time into it, I’m going to charge a few bucks for it. It does many things to optimize your 3D game.

What This Extension Does

  • Auto-Optimize One-click scene setup with best settings
  • Static Batching Combines identical objects (trees, rocks) into 1 draw call
  • Animated LOD Automatically reduces quality of distant enemies/characters
  • Distance Culling Hides objects too far to see
  • Frustum Culling Hides objects outside camera view
  • Shadow Control Toggle or adjust shadow quality
  • Performance Presets Fast / Balanced / Quality modes
  • Monitoring FPS, draw calls, triangle count expressions

This looks great but to be more solid it’s better you added a GD games demo to showcase features. Or maybe even a trailer that shows With / Without

I suppose it means, wow you’re aiming high and doing something impressive. But a simple translation doesn’t catch whatever French meaning is there.

Morgan, I’ve read all your threads and I really agree with AnselGames that you need a more accessible showcase. For example, in one of your other threads, I had to click a couple of different links to actually see anything.

I suggest that you have simple before and after pics in your GDevelop threads for the visual extensions that show exactly what it is you’re achieving. Yes you do have pics and videos on your various itch pages but I think simple before and after pics on simple models that are more likely to be used by people would be a better representation. At least here in the forums where you’re first getting people’s attention.

It looks like you’re doing great work but give us an easy way to see it.

I’m gonna work on that. In my defense, I’m an old Dad (54) and I have a family to provide for, among working on GDevelop extensions. Oh yeah–and I’m an off-grid homesteader who has to do everything in my family’s world manually–there isn’t a whole lot of extra time for making videos, etc. That said, I will try to have more available soon. I’ve been working on all of this to create my game, Bioweapon. I’ve simply had to create the things I need or to wait. I’d rather create than show those creations, if you know what I mean.

Yes, @Bubble has right. In France, when you say “c’est du lourd”, it means impressive, in the sense that it’s very good.

To @zGameCreator, it is very well you ask you. It’s like that we learn and progress.

To Morgan, i really think your extension is powerful and interesting for 3D.

What I can’t work out is how you got your kids to do something for you. Was it …‘hey kids …you can chop wood, trek down the hill to the creak to fetch some fresh water or make a video to showcase my Gdevelop extension!’
Id have got …‘What’s evs dad …I need you to take me and some mates to the other side of town via an off-license and pick us up again at 1am…you can wait in the car if you like…but round the corner.’

Thanks for all of the cute replies! Today I am going to post a PBRMaps3D extension and I’ve been working on a 3D outline/glow extension. I want to make a video about performance3D but I’m too busy making other things! My son was actually going to make a video for a glb editor I made but his enthusiasm fizzled out! Oh well!
