Physics stuttering bug

been making a game lately and the player is having random stutter with movement, tried everything, can’t see why its doing this and its annoying me, any ideas why it could be happening

UPDATE: tried setting fps max to unlimited and it removed the stutter and replaced it with an annoying motion blur effect, which is now making me confused

that must just be your monitor ghosting, which happens at high refresh rate

nope, don’t think its ghosting, maybe at the higher fps which could cause the annoying motion blur, but the stutter shouldn’t be happening, plus i am not using a moniter, since i am useing my gaming laptop, any other ideas what it could be, or how to fix

a gaming laptop has a screen man (and actually my laptop ghosts more than my other computers monitor)…but anyway, uh, youre computer is just lagging bro, or show your events and configurations and what not

Could be camera issue. In my project I thought the physics was the problem, but turn out it’s the third person camera. Turning the “catch up speed” to 0 fix the issue.

umm, its smooth camera, turning catch up speed to 0 means the camera won’t move

no events, just smooth camera behavior on object

No, camera will still move, just won’t be a smooth movement. Set all catch up values to 0 and try. Other possible issues is if your collision is not spherical, but let’s say a box. A lot of possibilities.

i tried setting it to 0, and camera stopped moving

oh it fixed at random now, guess you were right, just my laptop ghosting i guess.
