Project: Lynaria Last Light First official Announcement 🌒

Hey everyone,

Khaled here the man behind Coriander Games and the developer behind Miko Adventures Puffball winner in the GDWC 2021 which was made proudly with GDevelop

I just want to say that I’m just happy to be back into GDevelop, it’s been a while (I guess 3 years at this point) and I’m happy to see the engine is progressing in such an awesome way and things are still going, happy for 4ian and all the team working on the engine, GDevelop is such an awesome and a wonderful Engine.

So back to me…
Some of you might be wondering where was I all this time? well…
You can say that life took a turn for me and I’m preparing for marriage and getting my life sorted out you know how hard and random it gets sometimes, many responsibilities and I had to focus on other things but game development has always been in my head all this time, I never left, I love it.

I just want to say that I’m proud to announce one of my biggest projects to date where I want to really create something memorable, fun and powerful in the gaming community in general, I’m planning to go big with this one (But big to the point where I can achieve it I will get back to this).

Everyone Today I announce
Project: LYNARIA LAST LIGHT

Lynaria Last Light is a 2d Metroidvania where you play as Lunai in the ruins of Lynaria city

The aim this time is to reach a level of quality never has been reached in GDevelop
Just like the times in Miko Adventures Puffball, I want to make something special and learn from my past mistakes to give you an experience, something to remember.

I want to push GDevelop to it’s limits and give you a visually, fun and a pleasing experience.

Now some of you might remember another project called Melted Fate I announced back in the day but then it went on hold forever why?
Well remember when I said “(But big to the point where I can achieve it)”
That’s why, Melted Fate was such a massive project that needed a ton of time to create which is just not possible for a one man, but Lynaria Last Light will solve this issue I had and now this time I’m sure I can do it, sometimes you have to lower you ambition so it doesn’t crush you in the process.

Now that’s it, I want to thank each and everyone who played and tried Miko along the years and enjoyed the content I created over the years.

When I’m ready I will share more information about Lynaria and I will get back to making videos on my youtube channel, it will be amazing, just like it was in the old days.

I will see you again with Lynaria when I’m ready I promise.

And you’ll see me around the community asking for how to do stuff for sure :smile:

Miko Adventures Puffball on Steam, it was really enjoyable to play and the level design was well thought out. In any case, you can count on the team to spread the word about your future work!

Do you think you could share some news like a devlog?
It helps people follow a project, and it’s a good way to communicate about your work and methods.

Yes 100%, I will be sharing very cool stuff soon about Lynaria Last Light, and I will get back to making videos on youtube and devlogs talking about other stuff, it will be awesome.
