[SOLVED IN DUMB WAY] Saving Storage Bugged Out

EDIT 3: FINALLY GOT IT SOLVED! I WAS USING LOAD A VALUE WHEN I SAVED A TEXT!

Oh boy another bug with my time system…

Hey! I have a time system. I’m working on for my game, and it seems to not be saving things correctly in storage. Anyone got any idea what’s going wrong?


I know this is a terrible way of coding and I’m currently using a bunch of Test Texts for testing but let me explain…

Pretty much it gets time day of the year from worldapi website, and then saves it as a month in storage and a variable (see bottom of picture). Now whenever this happens, it saves as a variable and works perfectly fine. But when I rejoin, the text label that tells me what is saved in the storage always shows “nil”. I have 0 idea what is going wrong and can provide more info if needed.

Edit: Just for clarification, the currentmonthonline variable works perfectly, and yet the storage doesn’t work at all.

It’s not an uncommon thing to happen. I think the wording in the event sheet should be changed for each action so it’s obvious whether it’s a value or a text being written.

100%. I didn’t even know there was a difference! Thankfully I found this out now before I used it in too many other ways in my game.
