i received my file from my friend which we created 5 years ago on GDevelop 4 and now when I am trying to open it , it does not open and shows the following in the image. and my file format is gdg . .gdg come from GD4 as you said, and GD5 use a .json format.
For open gdg on gd5 you have to download gd4 open your game, and save as and select .json format.
A game from 4 to 5 may can be broken because it’s a major change of version.
Even if you use basic stuff it should work.
