I’m making a turn-based game, Like pokemon without the catching.
IF you played pokemon, You would know of trainers that trigger a battle scene when you are in their view.
For me, Instead of trainers, Its monsters and When they see you, They battle you!
How would you make this in GDev? It’s advanced but i wanna add this to my game

You have given a part of one possible solution: " that trigger a battle scene when you are in their view.
Of course, what i am going to say below can not to agree with your type of game but you can perhaps use a distance between objects and decide in consequence. Or raycasts for take decisions.
In addition and if your game must take in account obstacle(s), you can add actions which go in this direction.

I haven’t used raycasting myself, but I think that’s what you need.

Sorry but i don’t know. I am not veritably a game player or if i was it in the past, i often liked platform or arcade games.

I recommend you to watch them again and copy everything they do in the video.
Then, if you can’t get it to work, you can make another post detailing what specific part of the system is not working properly.
