Storage not working when exported to windows or android

I’m sure this has been asked and answered many times but couldn’t find anything specific to my issue. Have been developing a game with much success over the last few weeks and have implemented a save game system that has been working perfectly during preview and when I exported to HTML and loaded it up in Firefox.

Problem I am having at the moment is that when I export to Android or Windows it doesn’t work at all. I am using the storage read and write functions and not filesystem if that helps. Haven’t a clue what the issue could be any suggestions?
