Since Friday, I’ve been experimenting with the new 3D editor on gd.games, and I ended up creating a custom character project: Horrible Stove | Play on gd.games

The name is random, but I’ve already put a lot of work into it. I built a human model with 40 animations and 8 different variants.
Now I’m at a crossroads — I’m not sure what direction to take next. My strengths are in coding and logic (I’m very comfortable there), but I struggle with sound design, art, and polish.
I’d love to connect with people who can help shape this project further — whether that’s contributing visuals, audio, or creative ideas. If you’re interested in collaborating, let’s talk!
Before I commit to making and publishing a game, I always start with a prototype. If the prototype feels solid, then I move into proper development.
For this project, I could easily take it in a GTA-style direction — the coding and logic side isn’t a problem for me. My main challenges are usually sound design and UI polish, which is something many of my past games have lacked.
I’m very comfortable with problem-solving and coding; I even use custom JavaScript inside GDevelop when needed. Recently, I added a camera SpringArm system — so if you try to move the camera into an obstacle, it automatically prevents clipping.
Nice work. I tried the demo and the movement and attacks feel solid for an early build. As someone who also spends more time on logic than art, I can see how much effort you put into the animations. Forty animations is crazy good for a solo start.
If you want help from artists or sound people, maybe share the art style you imagine so they know what direction you want. The base you built is strong and it already feels fun to mess around with.
I’m also interested in creating my own GTA game and I’ve got lots of awesome ideas, I’d love if we could work together on this, just let me know! @dskyle7
