Hello i’m trying to fix a bug thats been annyoing me for a while, as you can see in this image my character is standing on nothing, this happens only if i add something to the tilemap that isn’t a flat ground
if i remove that little bump, the physics fixes itself and everything works
my question is how do i fix this so that my character isn’t standing on nothing. my character uses the physics behavior and the floor also uses that behavior. Is there a setting that i need to turn on to fix this?
i really need help with this because i don’t want all of my levels to look the same, thanks
im confused, i cant recall tilemaps having any collision other than square
Physics uses its own collision mask. The default physics mask would be the objects overall size (bounding box).
Tilemaps don’t have an image that could be used as a reference to create the mask. You’d have to create it without a reference unless maybe you used a screenshot. Even then, the physics mask would need to be adjusted if the tilemap was changed. And the mask would need to be simple and not concave.
You could use the platform behavior instead. Or multiple tilemaps. One for the main part and another for the bump. But that sort of defeats the purpose of a tilemap.
