Continuing with my sci fi game, I made all four characters (with idle and 8 directions each) global, as exactly the same characters/animations will be used in levels 1, 2, and 3. Then, however, I ended up adding a menu scene and a character selection scene before the numbered scenes, and, of course, the 4 characters, being global, all showed up in those two scenes, where they have no function. If I were to delete them from the menu & character selection scenes, they would also disappear from the numbered scenes, correct? Are they slowing down the game, being uselessly present in the menu & character selection scenes? If so, is there anything I can do about it? Redirecting...
I don’t think you should notice a slowdown from that, but you can duplicate your project, delete them, and compare.
