Touhou Fangame Prototype

Good evening everyone! It’s been a while.

First of all, please excuse my absence. I’m not exactly very active on forums anyway; I’ve been very busy, mainly with my studies and hobbies. I wanted to show you this prototype of a Touhou fangame I’m making in GDevelop 5.

I don’t think I need to explain what Touhou is, but in simple terms, it’s a series of bullet hell games. In this case, I thought it would be an interesting idea to make it with more horizontal space.

Implementing the character switching system and the bullet mechanics was a bit laborious, but it was a lot of fun.

If you have any questions, especially if you’re also making a bullet hell game or something similar, feel free to ask. I’m not an expert, but I think I can offer some advice.

Here’s a screenshots of the prototype. So far, it only has three normal rounds and a fourth that’s like a mid-boss, so to speak. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the reply!, and Thanks for the suggestion, but I’m learning to make music on my own (using LMMS), of course, when I have some free time that I don’t want to dedicate to anything else or to studying.

If you want a tip on how you can learn to make music, download a bunch of midis of a music style you want to recreate and put a soundfont on it. Do it a repeated number of times and you might start to get a feel for how the music is made.

Vgmusic.com has a lot of game midis, maybe check the site out.
You can also find soundfonts at musical-artifacts.com.

Also, if you plan on sharing any music, obviously credit the maker of the original midi.
