Now look how its shadow also got changed like blue shadow is replaced to same color
That is due epsilon being too high
I could target that color same as i targeted main color
But look at this
His belly / eyes and (idk name of it) that thing behind his head
Totally untouched
So you can target only what you actually need/want
I have tried that before, but the effect doesn’t work as well with what I’m doing. And unfortunately, I’m not doing this on a very good computer, so it makes the game run slower.
…wait a minute, why are you going through so much effort to do it how among us did it, when you can just change the sprite? or, tint it and make the visor just another sprite layered perfectly on top?
Because I want to leave some more room for customization. The color maps only take like 2 seconds to make, and I want to see if there were other ways to make a sprite that can change color in three different ways without needing multiple sprites.
I used among us to use as an example, but for my sprites I might use all three different color options. For now I just want to know why the Set colorMapTexture event isn’t working and if there’s a way to fix it.
I just think that since color maps exist, and they have events that are meant to change the color map, that using them would make changing colors less messy for me to implement. I don’t know why the event isn’t working, and I don’t know if it’s some sort of bug or something, but I want to know if using color maps could be a possibility for me to use in future projects.
something i suggest doing that nobody else does when troubleshooting issues in gdevelop, is to press control shift i during a game preview and opening the console tab
