this is so frustrating, everything works great and an Update comes out and stuff gets broken. Update before todays, made my events flicker and jump up and down, hard to get to a line i actually wanted. Found I had to go really slow to move to the line i wanted. Cant go faster then the software, move mouse to fast you get the jitters. Fine i worked with that nonsense. Annoying but worked. Now with todays update you gave me a game dev Killer. I spend at least half a day today getting my animation ready, and sprite sheets done. Now i upload the sprite sheet, and in the creation mode, i can see the animation being animated in the top right corner, but then I push save, NEW save and it does a line loading screen then next screen i push loop, or dont push loop does the same thing. Loop so i can fix the time on the animation and guess what ITS A SINGLE F…g frame. ALL frames this instance 8 are the same exact frame cause Gdevelop software just overwriten what i loaded up. Ive tried several times and several times same thing. So now I cant move forward cause my next step in my game is enemy AI and well he sure the hell aint just gonna be one single sprite. As you can tell I am extremely frustrated with this issue, cause if you were to search thru the forums you would see I had this exact issue months ago and its been fixed, and well now its back. id share the screen record video but forums wont let me. so its posted up in discord, would love something I pay for to actually work. Please fix this issue ASAP. this isnt cool
so yes i went to bed after, and as you can see i was pretty upset. i dont drink, i dont smoke, i dont do drugs, just a clear headed game dev. I am doing my best to finish this game before summer ends. I fight enough of my own bugs, that i create during development, and solve them. I really wanted to go forward with my next game step and that was to implement my enemy AI system. So after putting in several hours to animate my characters, and then creating a sprite sheet and then placing them in Gdevelop and this happened, yup I lost my cool. So sorry if I was harsh or nasty, but if this doesnt get fixed, well i just waisted 5 months of programing. So please fix this. i put another example in discord last night. what happens the first frame overwrites the rest of the frames. I provided an example by marking on my sprite sheet. so you can see 1st frame just gets copied to rest, any other frame you make any changes does nothing.
im just going the old school way. Ive recut all my sprite sheets and im going to upload them 1 by 1 yay but i will skip the pixel editor nonsense and hope that one day they will fix it again. Thats my solution to this issue. Incase anyone wants to know how. ezgif.com great sprite sheet editor.
Add drag and drop image
File > Import Sprite Sheet
File > Save as > IMAGENAME.png
You can keep your image as sprite sheet or better keep it as .ase project
And just do what i wrote above to export it into individual frames after you are done with editing

I just went back into ezgif.com and recut all my sprite sheets. then i just push the first one and hold shift and push the last one and it uploads them all in sequence. just cant go thru pixel editor only a straight import. just made me mad cause i was tired and I like the easier way of just having sprite editor cut it for me. But what ever found a way. Thank you for your reply tho always appriciate it.
I seen your message on discord but i did not want to reply to you cause only thing i had to say is
I remember someone was once explaining somewhere you need to do something to prevent piskel from overwriting all frames
But i do not remember what that SOMETHING was and so i did not want to say there is solution but idk it
However why i gave you here link to libresprite is not cause its better
But cause that is something you can have always
And you never know if you always gonna have internet
Neither you know if ezgif will be always up (and i seen tons of sites like ezgif going down permanently YET i do see ezgif there from quite few years)
Better to always have some alternative
Use what is better for you but download libresprite just in case
