Are events for unloaded/non-existent objects still checked?

I’ve been wondering about something. I mean, I know this isn’t anything a surface level user should worry about, and really this is mostly just curiosity.

How does gdevelop handle events under the hood for objects that are part of the scene, but currently don’t have any instances made? Are their conditions still checked? What about actions for that object with no conditions?

To my understanding
You may buy a comics with spider-man
And there is no batman there
Yet you still need to check every single page each frame
So batman or not still each event is checked
If object does not exist most crap related to it do not get executed
Yet all events need to be reed regardless
