Whats up gdvelop creators! I did join the jam and submit a game!
It sort of goes with the theme coz i couldnāt rlly get a good idea for this theme.
So, it was kinda last minute, coz i so forget about the time and how much was left and created level two and three very fasts, so u might find it repetitive.
here is the itch link and gd.games link. (before u click the links read this whole topic)
So if u dont know the theme yet, then lets see if you play my game and can guess the theme!
theme is : Take Control!
(make sure to give my game a like!(thats if u think it deserves one of course))
I like the flying sound fx!
Some tips:
1ātry to make a lerp() move to the camera when starts the game, because the subtle change on camera position make me a little dizzy.
2āputa a button or some way of click to go to the next message on the explaination screen. Give the player the hability see or not see the messages is better of just free him on the screen and give more freedom!
3āthe second stage, the colors of some obstacles are very close with the blue background and make hard to see it. It should have more color contrast to be really differentiable from the background to be better.
Hi @zGameCreator - I liked it! i think that it felt like it should have a lane runner feel though - so that the bee moves to 1,2 or 3 rather than there being middle ground
lol, that was my original idea, i was following the gdevelop wiki, but lost track of time and forgot about the jam, then when there was little time left i changed idea completely lol.
Hey!
I finally got around to trying your game, and it is SUPER FUN!
I really enjoyed the mechanics, I was expecting it to be a top-down endless runner of sorts, but the bee control was actually super well made!
The third level was actually difficult and took a good 10 minutes to beat! Those hotboxes are something elseā¦
Overall, it is an amazingly made game! Hope it scores high in the game jam!
Yep!
The cobweb collisions were a bit unforgiving, which made it much harder! In my opinion, they should be left like that to keep the game challenging!
