The screen is black when I start it up. It stops right there and doesn’t load.

12 minutes have passed, and no one has responded? That quite possible. Mnay here live in different time zones, have jobs, school and other real life activities.
When you run the game and it stops on the loading screen, press ctrl + shift + i and select the console panel. Are there any error messages on there?
Additionally, can you post your events for the starting scene?
