Hey everyone, I am an absolute beginner in GDevelop trying to make a top down arcade/story 2-D game. I have done several tutorials and even underwent a period of tutorial hell. However, despite all the tutorials, I have realized that I still have a lot to learn, and despite the presence of AI and the forum it is much more valuable to actually have someone by your side that you can consult and work with, and problem solve with, most importantly. Therefore, I would like to request if anyone has the time or the interest to collaborate with me. I know how to share a project on Google Drive. I learned that quite recently. As I said, I am a beginner, but I am willing to learn and willing to put in the time in making my project come to life. I am totally open to suggestions for the project and what not. I would really appreciate anyone getting into contact, if this sounds like something that they would be interested in.

. What type of arcade/story are you working /thinking of working on? I only have the web version.

I honestly was not expecting to get any responses, thinking that most people would not want to take the risk in helping out a beginner, but I’m glad that that was not the case. I would be more than happy to collaborate with the both of you and I’ve even been doing some research behind the scenes to see what would be the most effective way to share my project with you guys. I’m also using the free web-based GDevelop editor. This was the blueprint I thought up for how we should go about collaborating:
To start off, I should mention that this is going to be a very low pressure project. You work when you have the time and the motivation. I understand that we all have our own lives - work, university. For general communication I think we should do a Discord server. I don’t use discord personally but I can learn; I’ll create the server and share the link with you guys so that you can hop on and we can discuss just generally what we’re doing in the project. It will be our source for quick communication. And then on Google Drive we can share backups. screenshots as well, test builds, and assets. If any of you have different ideas on how we should go about working on Dog Days please go ahead and share. In addition, If you guys feel comfortable, go ahead and send me your email so that I can share my project and the Discord server with you. I will go into more detail about Dog Days’ story and my vision for it on the discord server just for convenience’s sake.
I am super excited about working with you guys and building a friendship as well. This is going to be an amazing project!
@Vulcan I am using a school computer and am trying to set up my actual computer so I might not be able to use discord. Btw I am 16 so Idk if that affects anything hopefully it doesn’t but since my parents are really strict I can’t use discord anyway so if there is a different way to chat with each other like maybe a doc or something That would be great. I am super excited to work with you guys too! I am also really (Kinda) good with 2D game making.
I also wanted to note that I am able to work on it around 11 am for around an hour and around 11pm-12:30

@AnselGames To be honest I have a few different communication Ideas 2 of the ideas that I think would be the best would be either a group chat on Gmail or a doc.
Whatever one sounds best to you guys. If you guys have any other Ideas please share them
Unfortunately, super Luigi bro your email is not letting me share the project with you because of your organization blocking access. That means that I’ll probably not even be able to share a Google doc with you. I’ll try to figure out some other means by which to collaborate with you, but until you get your email changed to a personal one I don’t think we will be able to work together. Ansel, I think I was able to give you the project properly.

Yeah if you choose more than one person to chat or text to it makes a group chat, for example I first found out when I wanted to tell more than one friend something so I put my first friends name and then my other friends name and it made them both get in the group chatt
