If I accidentally leave a space or forbidden character in an object name and/or use the same name twice - I get a warning saying I cannot do this and then the whole computer locks up completely and I have to do a hard reset to get it back. I am using GDevelop 5.0.0 Beta89 on Ubuntu 18.04.
Not cool… It happens every once in a while or every time?
Is it only with b89? You can download a previous version here if you want to confirm, it will help the devs.
It happens every time without fail. Is there any debug file I could send? Which earlier version would you recommend?
Will try 88 and see if it does the same…
I have tested this with version 88 and it has exactly the same issue - whole pc locks up if e.g. space in sprite name or if sprite name is already used… May only affect Ubuntu 18.04?
Thanks for testing.
I can only say that the Windows GDevelop doesn’t suffer from this bug.
It could affect all linux distros, or only Ubuntu, or only your computer…
Let’s see if we get feedback from other linux users.
Cool - hopefully it’s only me if so will try upgrading to 18.10 or 19.x
