Hi, I Need Game Play Testers

Update: Hi All, I Recently Upgraded My GDev Account to ‘Gold Membership’. :yellow_circle: Then took the Next Step, to Join This Community.

I had to Re-Post With Correct Links. They Should Be Working Now.

:video_game: My first GDevelop game is in beta on Google Play!

Hey GDevelop community! I just launched DogStar Defense Grid (arcade space shooter) on Google Play and need 20+ beta testers for a 2-week test.

Built with GDevelop, supports touch/gamepad/keyboard, works on Android + PC (Google Play Games).

Web Beta opt-in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.wolfsden.dogstardefensegrid

Android Beta opt-in:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wolfsden.dogstardefensegrid

If anyone here needs me to ‘Play Test’ their Game just PM (Private Message) Me.

Thanks for all the help getting here! :wolf::rocket:

Hi BernadoProducts,

Hey! Thanks for wanting to jump in!

Good news → DogStar Defense Grid works on PC through Google Play Games . You don’t need Android.

Here’s how to test on Windows:

  1. Install Google Play Games on your PC (it’s Google’s official Android emulator for Windows)
  2. Use the Web Beta opt-in link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.wolfsden.dogstardefensegrid
  3. Once opted in, open Google Play Games on your PC and download DogStar Defense Grid
  4. Supports keyboard/gamepad controls

No Android device needed, you’re good to go on Windows!

Let me know if you hit any snags. :wolf::rocket:

Alternative (if you want a standalone Windows build later):

If you’d prefer, I can look into providing a standalone Windows executable in the future, but for now the Google Play Games route is the fastest way to get you testing on PC.

Cheers, Bud !

If you want, I preffer having the executable .exe, because i dont have acess to playstore.

Hey! No problem … I’ve got you covered.

You can play the full game right now in your browser on the Wolf’s Den homepage: wolfsdenshop.com

It’s the same build, works on any PC with a browser, and supports keyboard/gamepad controls. No Play Store needed!

Let me know what you think and feel free to share feedback. Thanks for testing! :wolf::rocket:

The game is cool but here is my opinion.
The game is fun but the controls are strange and when i trying move with the arrows it was inverted.

Hey BernardoProducts ! Thanks so much for testing and for the feedback; really appreciate it!

You’re totally right about the controls feeling different → the ship uses rotation-based movement (like classic Asteroids), which can feel inverted at first if you’re expecting direct movement.

Here’s how it works:

  • Arrow Keys (or A/D): Rotate the ship left/right
  • W (or Up Arrow): Thrust forward in the direction you’re facing
  • S (or Down Arrow): Brake/reverse thrust

So you have to >>rotate first, then thrust<< … it’s more like piloting a spaceship than direct WASD movement. Takes a minute to get used to, but once it clicks, it feels really tactical!

→ Also, the game supports gamepad controls!<- If you have a controller, that might feel more natural for the rotation + thrust setup.

Let me know if that helps or if you’d prefer different control options: I’m still tweaking things based on beta feedback. Thanks again for playing! :wolf:
