Update: Hi All, I Recently Upgraded My GDev Account to ‘Gold Membership’.

My first GDevelop game is in beta on Google Play!
Hey GDevelop community! I just launched DogStar Defense Grid (arcade space shooter) on Google Play and need 20+ beta testers for a 2-week test.
Built with GDevelop, supports touch/gamepad/keyboard, works on Android + PC (Google Play Games).

Android Beta opt-in:

If anyone here needs me to ‘Play Test’ their Game just PM (Private Message) Me.
Thanks for all the help getting here!

Hi BernadoProducts,
Hey! Thanks for wanting to jump in!
Good news → DogStar Defense Grid works on PC through Google Play Games . You don’t need Android.
Here’s how to test on Windows:
- Install Google Play Games on your PC (it’s Google’s official Android emulator for Windows)
- Use the Web Beta opt-in link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.wolfsden.dogstardefensegrid
- Once opted in, open Google Play Games on your PC and download DogStar Defense Grid
- Supports keyboard/gamepad controls
No Android device needed, you’re good to go on Windows!
Let me know if you hit any snags.

Alternative (if you want a standalone Windows build later):
If you’d prefer, I can look into providing a standalone Windows executable in the future, but for now the Google Play Games route is the fastest way to get you testing on PC.
Cheers, Bud !
If you want, I preffer having the executable .exe, because i dont have acess to playstore.
Hey! No problem … I’ve got you covered.
You can play the full game right now in your browser on the Wolf’s Den homepage: wolfsdenshop.com
It’s the same build, works on any PC with a browser, and supports keyboard/gamepad controls. No Play Store needed!
Let me know what you think and feel free to share feedback. Thanks for testing!

The game is cool but here is my opinion.
The game is fun but the controls are strange and when i trying move with the arrows it was inverted.

Hey BernardoProducts ! Thanks so much for testing and for the feedback; really appreciate it!
You’re totally right about the controls feeling different → the ship uses rotation-based movement (like classic Asteroids), which can feel inverted at first if you’re expecting direct movement.
Here’s how it works:
- Arrow Keys (or A/D): Rotate the ship left/right
- W (or Up Arrow): Thrust forward in the direction you’re facing
- S (or Down Arrow): Brake/reverse thrust
So you have to >>rotate first, then thrust<< … it’s more like piloting a spaceship than direct WASD movement. Takes a minute to get used to, but once it clicks, it feels really tactical!
→ Also, the game supports gamepad controls!<- If you have a controller, that might feel more natural for the rotation + thrust setup.
Let me know if that helps or if you’d prefer different control options: I’m still tweaking things based on beta feedback. Thanks again for playing!
