How do you implement Skylander NFC?

I was wanting to make a game using the Skylanders portal of power to scan in the Skylanders. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now, and I have not found anything that could help. I was wondering if anybody has made NFC compatibility.

Hi all! I made a toy/game for small children to help them start learning the alphabet and even write their first words.
