I never had much luck learning Blender or any of the other 3D modelling programs so I made a simple alternative: the Easy GLB Creator. It’s an html program you can use on any device with a browser to turn a 2d image into simple 3D models. I first used it to make highly optimized plant models for my game using the fan setting. Lots of other objects can me made as well.
looks great - i’ve struggled with blender - its hotkey hell! and so anything that’s simpler than that gets a thumbs up from me.
I use Blender with a gamepad… lol…
…(with a logitech G600) ![]()
By the way, great job on this tool it feels very Doom‑esque.
Thank you both!
It is now version 1.2 and you can deform meshes in different ways and create long texture tiled beams that make great walls, etc.
I thought it was free…
Eh-h-h-h!!!

paid AI slop? very funny
If it’s from AI, it should be free!
If it’s generated by AI, it doesn’t matter who published it. If it’s didn’t waste the developer’s efforts, so it should be free.
I generated code using AI, but I didn’t like it. I only knew how to use console.log() and variables. After learning extensions, I started understanding the code. I’m excited to create my own extension.
I put a lot of time and some money making things like this and all of the extensions I contribute. I don’t feel guilty about it. I understand that it’s fashionable to hate on AI but it’s the wave of the present and the future. “AI slop” is crappy generative AI content, usually videos, etc. I have made a lot of quality programs and extensions for GDevelop so your definition doesn’t apply. Go hate somewhere else.
No one here hates anyone. I mean, you didn’t spend any effort, just money and time!
It wasn’t you who made this program, it was AI. It’s like someone made a program and you bought it.
If you compare this program with the Vegetato Match 3 example, they are worth the same amount. But Vegetato didn’t use AI, he used his knowledge. You only spent money and time. Vegetato spent knowledge and time.
Of course, a template and a program are different things, but someone still created a blender, for example. It only lives on donations.
And it was created not using AI, but using knowledge.
In the past, knowledge was power! Now, AI is power
!
Vote which projects deserve payment!
(Morgan, you don’t vote).
- Projects created with AI deserve to be paid.
- Projects created with knowledge deserve a fee.
- Both.
Not trying to turn this topic into a giant AI discussion as we already have that on the forum, but let me just leave my 2 cents here.
Creating things with Ai 100% takes effort. You cannot just tell the Ai “Make me this” and have it fully working. You still need to think of ideas, problem solve with the AI, and put a lot of brain power into it.
Personally, I’m not creating any GLB models at the moment so I won’t be purchasing this tool, but you really need to consider any effort that gets put into projects. You also need to consider how much time this will save people.
Yes, I know it’s paid. But if you are really into making 3D models, it could cost you way more than $7 to learn how to use blender.
Overall @Morgan, very happy for your GLB creator. Keep up the good work. ![]()
The reason I’m not getting this at the moment is not because it’s paid, or that it’s made with ai. It’s because really I should be trying to get to grips with blender, and the games that I’m currently working on are 2d. The ai arguments as snowy pointed out are really for another thread. Ai …I’m not a huge fan …but it’s here and if people are using it creatively and enjoying using it then who am I to knock it!
But it’s not fair to make money from what AI has done!!!
It’s much more enjoyable for me to learn HTML 5, CSS, JS, and see what I’ve learned!
Someone made a neural network, and another person decided to make money from it without investing any knowledge!
From the paid ones, I would rather use a website that was not created using this AI. Companies with programmers create websites using knowledge! And you use AI.
Who deserves the reward more? Those who program using knowledge, or those who use AI and do not use knowledge?!
Knowledge is power!
Not:
Money is power!
True, but think on the good side of this:
Someone who wants to make GLBs easily would benefit by paying for this, and Morgan would make money! It’s a win-win scenario, even though it was made with AI.
Now, imagine if everyone started creating these websites and so on using AI?
First of all, AI can make serious mistakes!
Secondly, it would be chaos!
Umm… is this about AI or a GLB creator?
Either way, I feel that this is a good tool for people with absolutely no experience in 3D modeling, but for those who want more advanced features, blender is the better choice for them.
I’m not saying that this is AI slop or anything bad, because as long as a program has functionality and use, I feel that it is a good program.
I don’t deny that the program is good. I’m saying that Morgan didn’t make it himself; instead, it was made by AI. He didn’t spend any knowledge; instead, he used AI.
It’s not fair to earn money using AI.
When I learn about JS and CSS, I might create a website like this, but for free.
There’s no need to discuss anything unrelated to the engine… This is off-topic.
Is this even made in GDevelop?
I don’t think it is.
I think Morgan posted on here as a helpful tool for GDevelop users, hence the “Open Topic” tag.
