I’ve never joined a game jam before, rushed to make a game, or really made anything other then Duck Game in GDevelop before.
Do I join?..
Man I really wish we could work in teams on it tho, but that requires a $350 a month subscription.

What do you mean when you said “…require a $350 a month subscription”?

You need pro subscription to collaborate on projects directly in GDevelop. I get you can do it with Github but I’ve never done that before and also don’t have Discord :frowning:

The Teams plan is more geared toward professionals, it’s currently a bit limited. There’s no live collaborative editing like in Figma or Google Drive, where everyone works on the same scene. So you’ll be disappointed if you expect this feature, as what is actually offered is more along the lines of “share projects with your teammates”, “Add collaborators (project sharing)” See the documentation about the feature:
https://wiki.gdevelop.io/gdevelop5/collaboration/#collaborate-on-a-gdevelop-project

However, you can set up a Git repository and collaborate on it asynchronously.

Another jam, another Testing Grounds game from me, hopefully I can do something else like I did with Aliens.

To be clear, you don’t need a GDevelop pro subscription or any kind of subscription to work in a team for the jam. You can just form a team and work out your own way of collaborating.

How?

I’ve never been in a team for a game jam but often people divide the game into parts, like art, events, music. Or they choose different parts of the event system they’ll work on and then use some platform of their choosing to communicate with each other and send their work. Exactly how? That’s a good question. One person would have to integrate other people’s work into the events and then make sure it all works together.

Awww, no hints?

the last one was OverPowered right?

‘I obviously can’t say’ is a great theme! Very cryptic and open to interpretation…which I like!
