Kipgubb's introduction to the GDevelop community

Since I have not really given you people an introduction besides semi-vague messages in my forums, here it is:
I am Alexander, a 13-year old who found out about GDevelop about a year ago and started using it for my own game about a month ago. I make music and games for fun and also because I like being semi-popular. My music is generally chiptune (8-bit) or 16-bit-styled and it is very inspired by Toby Fox. I am currently trying to recreate a horror game from Roblox named “Rooms: Low Detailed” in top-down form because the original game was shut down about a year ago due to its history, controversy, and the developer not wanting to keep developing it due to said controversy.
Here is my most recent song (unfinished), a chaotic 8-bit song with things such as polyrhythms and time signature changes.

Here is a preview of the recreation of Rooms: Low Detailed. It doesn’t have anything currently except the menu and the fundamentals for the gameplay of the original: movement (obviously), and the three different types of hiding spots.

Welcome @KipgubbYT!

I listened only the first 4 or 5 seconds of your music (sorry!) but during that period of time, i believed that it was a Commodore 64’s tune!

Astonish for me (an old) that an thirteen old kid likes and creates this type of music (in fact, it is a compliment)

I don’t quite know when I got interested in it, possibly from Toby Fox because he’s probably one of the best chiptune artists nowadays, but given what I use for music is very good for chiptune music specifically, it might just be that. I also fiddle around a LOT with my music, sometimes it’s barely even chiptune, a good example is my song “Abyss”. It uses two non-chiptune presets from Abyssbox (the website I use) along with a sample from Earthbound, the overdrive guitar.

By the way, did you know that if you put a dash between the T and the second U in a YouTube URL it’ll bring you to YouTube no cookie which unblocks videos and removes ads?

That’s a very random and potentially illegal fun fact!

Hi!

I just tried with your YouTube music video and it curiously works.
You, future hacker!

However, the video showed is in format large size.
