Have you ever explored abandoned structures, killed too many npcs in Postal 2, went in a forgotten Minecraft world, or just found yourself in an eerily silent enviroment with no one but you and your thoughts?
Well this wonderful piece of media explores this by placing you in the role of a Convict trapped in an abandoned prison complex… I present to you, LAZARUS
A Game made in just 6 Days for the GDevelop 9th Big Game Jam

Vertical Facility will take on more of a Metroidvania styled layout for its map design which will be based off of Silksong’s map design having ascend as far as you can while being chased by Sentinels
Little Lore Bit: a week before the events of the game, a massive supply starship containing hundreds of thousands of keycards for the people working at Lazarus had crashed into the side of the Complex leading to prisoners using the excess keycards as their own form of currency
Hello @Taco2009
Your game scenario reminds me a little of the movie “Escape” (with Stallone and Schwarzenegger)
A+

Gameplay is going sooo friggin wellll!!!
The base gameplay is mostly established but the concept map for the Leviathan Sector has been created, and the Sector is mostly complete!!
After that I can get started on a prologue web-comic for the project too and then do sound and music for it as well as more stuffs
More Lore Stuffs: The Convict/Prisoner was a soldier during the Fourth World War which had started in 3726 A.D. and wouldn’t end until 5002 A.D. the game itself takes place in 4936 A.D.
Most of the Gameplay is nearly finished
Work on the LAZARUS Webcomic is going just as well
I just gotta finish polishing Leviathan and then add visual effects and enemies and then I shall be able to upload it to itch.io for the GameJam!!!
This has gotta my most ambitious project yet tbh especially with how it is looking
there is a slight chance that the LAZARUS Webcomic will be released after LAZARUS is released
After 6… yes 6 Days
LAZARUS is officially out now on gd.games as well as itch.io!!!
