Hey!
Is Twardy 2.0 going to have any updates that are playable before release?
It would be fun to test small portions of the game & look for bugs!
Most of the phases in Twardy 2.0 will have public updates. Here are the ones I plan to have:

Am I forgetting something?
…
Wait.
…
WASN’T I SUPPOSED TO MAKE A TWARDY 2.0 STATE OF THE GAME BY NOW?!!!
Hello gamers and game developers, I am 99 Studios, and I am overwhelmingly excited here with a monumental amount of things to announce in the seventh (and far from last) Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game post! In case you’re new to Twardy 2.0 or you forgot about it, Twardy 2.0 is a sandbox-survival game where you can farm crops, attack enemies, and earn Xp. Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game is where I present what happened during the month and what is going to happen next month in Twardy 2.0. A new era of Twardy 2. 0 will star t in October.
Before I start ranting on and on about the new changes and features, I want to give the THIRD monthly reminder that you can STILL submit ideas for the Crazy Community DLC on the Google Form! So far I only have 4 things to implement, so there’s plenty of room for you to submit your ideas and get them into the upcoming video on my YouTube channel! The DLC has been waiting for development for almost 4 months now, so please submit your ideas to this Google Form: https://forms.gle/wJuFCGTRvUEMi9dK7
Alright, it’s time to talk about something VERY important. If you’ve been reading the Twardy 2.0 Devlog for the past year, you would know already that Twardy 2.0 was originally supposed to release on November 22, 2026. Now, I’ve decided to push back the (hopefully final) release date to November 22, 2034. I did this because I want to give myself enough time to implement features and grow a community. (Plus, as much as I’m leaking “spoilers”, the hype for this game will be CRAZY.) Also, if you want “spoilers” for features in Twardy 2.0, all you need to do is ask, and I’ll give them to you…
The second largest thing I wanted to talk about was that I have divided Twardy 2.0 into 25 development phases, which 3 have already been completed. Phases Indev, Alpha, and Beta have been completed, with the Expand the World update (v0.2.0) being the last version of the Beta phase. If you’ve been reading the Twardy 2.0 Megathread on GDevelop Forum, you would already know that phase Gamma has already started, with the Vitals Fixes update (v0.3.0) being the latest and first update of the phase (more on that later). If you would like to learn more about the development phases, please visit this page on the Twardy 2.0 Wiki.
A new (but now gigantic) change in Twardy 2.0 is its logo. The logo now includes the Mainmap (instead of orange) as the background, and there is now a mysterious figure in the center. I wonder who it could be…
A slightly important change I need to announce is that Twardy 2.0 will no longer have monthly updates. I’ve slowly felt like monthly updates ruin the fun in adding features to my game, so I’ve decided to scrap any future monthly updates entirely and add the features in them overtime. ALL of my future games will follow this NMMU (NO. MORE. MONTHLY. UPDATES.) format.
Remember the development phases I briefly explained 3 paragraphs ago? Well, as you know, I have very recently started phase Gamma. In phase Gamma, I will try to establish the core loop of the game. So far, there is no reason to continue playing Twardy 2.0. My goal is to have a secure core loop for the game by the end of phase Gamma (probably Q2 or Q3 2026). So far, I have made the Vitals Fixes update (v0.3.0), which adds a healthbar, 2 more bars that will be used later, and fixes some bugs. (…That’s it. Honestly, I had a mental battle with myself to either number it 0.2.1, 0.2.5, 0.2.10, or 0.3.0).
The last GIGANTIC thing I would like to announce is that (throughout the phases,) bosses and minibosses will come to Twardy 2.0! (Some of them are already on the Twardy 2.0 Wiki!) The first miniboss is actually arriving in the next minor update, T oo Ghoul For Cool (v0.4.0)!
The last thing I want to mention is that there will be 2 (and probably more to come) guest appearances of various characters from throughout the WorldVerse (my multiverse) coming to Twardy 2.0 in its native pixel art style! (Again, some of them are already on the Twardy 2.0 Wiki!) Some of your interactions with them will be WorldVerse cannon, while others… definitely won’t.
Thank you very much for reading this Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game Post. Please stay tuned for more Twardy 2.0 information in the devlog and the State Of The Game post in October! Also, if you have any ideas or feedback about the game or any devlog posts, please post them in the Twardy 2.0 Community!
I just want to say, you are SO DEDICATED to Twardy 2.0 and I LOVE IT! You already have 9 years worth of work planned out, which in my mind is CRAZY! I don’t even my next 2 months worth of game development work planned out…
Keep going and I think Twardy 2.0 will turn out amazing!

Love the video! Comments are disabled, might want to turn them on! ![]()
Oh, I don’t have them on for good reason:*
*This is just an example. Do not take it seriously.
True. Though if people want to talk about the video, the comments are the best way for them to do that. You can easily block people who are hating and/or delete hate comments.
Of course it’s totally your choice, that’s just my suggestion ![]()
Screenshot 0.4.0.1 is OUT NOW! It adds a new structure called the Megaruin, where the Ruin Ghoul minibossfight is! Along with that, the map is now 100 TIMES BIGGER, and Mark’s position SAVES BETWEEN SESSIONS! (View the changelog here!)
…Sorry the monthly State Of The Game post hasn’t come out yet. I usually spend 1-2 days working on it until I release it on both here and itch.
I can confirm that there will be an October State Of The Game, but I just forgot to do it in the end of October (due to Halloween, the revival of my animation series, and a bunch of other random stuff).
…So, new game mechanic coming soon (development for it will probably start next year).
Honestly, runes might be one of the most important mechanics in both gameplay and the game’s lore. If you want to know more about them, don’t be hesitant to ask!
Wait a sec…
I recoginize that second one from somewhere…
