My son and I have made our first game scene using GDevelop. It was made for our local sailing club, who would ordinarily be starting the season with Easter racing.
It’s a time trial, you sail to the marks in the prescribed order (so mark 3 is first - you can follow the tracer dot). The result is a sailing-friendly PYN, which is a handicap number, lower=better.
Interaction is touch/mouse - point the direction you want to sail. The boat’s speed is relative to the wind, so head-to-wind the speed is zero; reaching (across the wind) is fastest; running (dead downwind) is in between.
Overall a great environment, reasonably intuitive to use. Thank you GDevelop!
