20 years ago already, I was a moderator then administrator of a French forum on Game Maker. I was able to help and above all advance members by not assisting them but by giving them the keys to manage to find themselves a solution to the problems they mentioned.
I have more than 40 years of computer science and financial management behind me and never hear me once and for all, I would never have allowed (by vanity or other things) to write on a forum than that a member says nonsense or I do not know what.
I would not say that you have a problem of personal identity but if I can give you 1 advice: never judge someone on his writings, especially on a forum.

He talked to me about interrupts that he was handling while I, at that time, had not yet programmed at all in 6502. Perhaps that is what later inspired me to self-learn, buy a microcomputer, and program, and after my management studies, to get a degree in computer science. I want to clarify that my late father worked very young in construction, and although he had no diploma, he managed to become a director. All this to say that I get along well with everyone, whether they are highly educated or not at all. Intelligence lies elsewhere, one might say!
To return to our subject, I see that you are a man of honor, in the sense that you think it is âbetrayingâ the members asking for help by only giving them partial or unverified answers or even no response at all. It is commendable that you are determined to find one or more solutions to the problems. I am not a teacher, but what would you think of a professor who would systematically give the entire solution whenever a high school student asked him a question about their assignment? In the best case, he might give the student a little push so that they can arrive at the answer on their own, but I donât think the teacher would give them the whole solution. And this is where I want to get to in my responses that I have made on this forum and others in the past: except in very specific cases where a member is totally a beginner, we need to HELP but NOT ASSIST. In the medium term, I donât think it would truly benefit them.
Give the spark that will allow the person to think more and make the effort to succeed on their own. There you go! I havenât written this much in a single post in a long time.
