Should we vote if the Forum needs a Devlog subcategory? It can be an interesting place to see what others are up to in GDevelop. It can probably go under Community.

I’d say…
definitely yes.
however I would hardly be able to post on it since
i hardly have time to work on my game already.
But it’s not like that for everyone, so yes I upvote.
I think that would be pretty cool!
People could title their topics like “[game title] - [genre(s)]” so that others can know at a glance what’s being worked on (i.e. “Bunny Hop - puzzle platformer”). And if they don’t have a game title yet, it could just be “Working Title - [genre(s)]”.
Then just kind of update the thread every so often with progress reports.
EDIT: Oh! And it would be less of a commitment, I think, than a video devlog since you wouldn’t have to worry about getting footage, recording a voice over, editing, etc.
Hi all!
Good proposition for which i voted yes.
Even if i’ll not post an entire devlog for my games, i think it should also interessant to show what had been the difficulties meet and how we resolved them.
To be short, a little brief of the devlog.

Absolutely! I’ve been working on a devlog for my 2D platformer, “An Insect Named Buggie”, and to be honest with y’all, I actually didn’t know where to post my devlog in either “GDevelop general” or “Community”. I decided to post it in “GDevelop general”, and I don’t want to be asking people to check out my devlog and asking for replies, as that’ll feel like I’m begging for subscribers on YouTube, but I also haven’t been posting anything for a while, and you can check out the link here: What do you think about my prototype and concept art? - GDevelop general - GDevelop Forum.
Overall, yes, the GDevelop Forum definently needs a “Devlog” subcategory.
The idea is not that bad, nonetheless I think this category would already suit for devlogs:
If a game is presented there, one could also add devlog posts into this specific topic of that certain game.
You can totally use the Games Showcase section.
I’ll rename it Devlog if you prefer that name.
Hi Bouh!
Or “Games Showcase and Devlog”
