Help, my debugger is bugged!
Like I open a preview, it doesn’t show up in the debugger.
I thought GDevelop was messing with me so I tried the launch preview and debugger while the debugger was still open and still got nothing.
Same thing while the debugger was closed.
Any help?

Hi, I may have had a similar problem a few weeks ago when nothing appeared in the profiler. Is that what you mean? I was using the debug tools for the first time in a long time and was confused. For me, turns out, I just had to interact with the preview like clicking on the screen. Once I did that, the profiler had stuff in it.

Thanks, but that didn’t work. I also tried using some controls and playing a bit, still nothing.
So you’ve started the preview in debug mode? I’ve previously experienced issues like this too, and I found restarting GDevelop fixed it.

Hey, sorry for the late response.
I guess what you said worked? I did actually restart gdevelop and it didn’t work. But for a few days I stopped using gdevelop and the next time I started, the debugger worked just fine.
So… Yay, problem solved.

Not sure if this bug has been reported yet, but indeed the debugger won’t work if you have Gdevelop open for some hours, or after you turn on your pc from sleep mode? I tend to have my project open for days, and when I need to use the debugger I have to reopen GDevelop.
