Sphere Ball is available on Google Play

Hi!

I’m excited to announce the release of Sphere Ball on Google Play, entirely created with GDevelop!

The game is free to play, with 150 premium levels available for purchase.

Sphere Ball is a maze puzzle game based on an innovative concept: using arrows on the board to choose your path. There are warps, trampolines, springs to destroy objects, lasers, spikes, cliffs, buttons, detonators, and a ton of other unpredictable elements.

It starts easy… but by the end, it becomes nearly impossible!

When creating it, I really thought about how we use our phones, aiming to avoid complex and tiring controls while still delivering tension and action.

I’ve been making electronic music for years, but for the soundtrack, I wanted to experiment with AI. I focused on tracks that feel both old and new, with plenty of mechanical sounds. Plus, I liked the idea of contrasting thoughtful gameplay with exaggerated, intense rhythms—some of the tracks turned out so well that I even listen to them in the car!

In the future, I’d love to write a series of posts about the development process, sharing how an idea evolves, the challenges I faced, and the (often unpredictable) ways I found to solve them!

A big thank you to everyone on the forum who answered my questions, to the GDevelop staff for adding variables for groups after my suggestion, and especially to all those who contributed to creating extensions over the years. It’s amazing to see how someone’s work can live on, sometimes in unexpected ways.

In any case, I had an absolute blast—and that’s what really matters!

P.S. The name is a totally nonsensical pleonasm. When my cousin saw the demo, he jokingly asked if I was going to call it something absurd like Spheric Ball… and me, being a bit reckless, immediately said yes.

P.P.S. If you share the link to my game, it would be a huge help—thank you in advance!

The full soundtrack is available at this link! Let me know what you think!

Superb and addictive game!
Congratulation!

When i saw the beginning of the first video, i imagined the game was made with an other utility than GDevelop (it’s a compliment)
I didn’t play with this game but don’t worry, it’s absolutely a good and great game, i think.
Well done Ondaluce!

Thank you so much! :innocent:

And it’s a double thank you because your contribution to my post about screen resolution helped me solve the last issue I was facing—I wasn’t aware of some of the commands for managing window aspects.

I believe GDevelop is an exceptional program, but it still faces some technical misconceptions and has a few imperfections, especially on the commercial side. The hardest part for me was implementing the Google shop, managing refunds, and restoring premium features after uninstallation.

In the coming days, I’d love to share more about these challenges to help others who haven’t published their game yet! :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Hi Ondaluce!

I always have the first version of GD on my USB key. How many amelioration and progression since this version!
I think GD is the unique utility FREE and for me, it’s very important.

I note your proposition in the last paragraph and i say thank to you.
